PDC serves public and private clients primarily within Alaska. We are committed to providing quality service and establishing long-term relationships with our clients. We constantly strive to understand each client’s needs and to improve client satisfaction on each and every project.
Controlling construction cost in today’s spiraling cost environment has made choosing the right project delivery method very important. Design/Bid/Build projects are accomplished directly for the Owner, whether private or government agency. More and more often, we also find ourselves working directly for construction firms under Construction Manager At-Risk or Design-Build delivery contracts.
Construction Manager At Risk
CM at Risk is a form of design and construction that we are not only familiar with, but often prefer. This method of contracting allows us to work with a contractor to make the designed systems more efficient. It speeds up the purchase process and allows us to utilize our in-house shop drawing generation software to cut time and minimize risk in the project.
PDC has completed several projects that utilize this form of construction. Project examples include the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital (FMH) Outpatient Imaging Center, the FMH Laboratory Addition, the FMH Emergency Department Addition, the FMH Boiler Laundry and Generator Addition, the UAF Lena Point Fisheries Facility, the Morris Thompson Community and Visitor Center, and the $145M Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Seismic and Security Upgrade.

We deliver planning and design services for water, sewer, storm drain, highways, airports, railroads, and complex facilities. Our services integrate the full range of project support, including topography and right-of-way surveys, environmental studies and NEPA documents, public involvement, detailed design, permit preparation, and construction phase services.
