PDC evolved through the merging of Alaskan engineering
companies to provide more service areas to our clients and a
cohesive team. Predecessor firms were established during the
mid-1970's and 1980's. The most recent consolidation taking
place in 1998 through the merging of FPE Roen
Engineers with Loftus Engineering Associates.

FPE Roen
Engineers was established in 1975. The company
provided engineering services in civil, electrical,
environmental, mechanical engineering, and
surveying. It maintained offices in Anchorage and
Fairbanks Alaska, and worked at project sites as
distant as Europe, Antarctica, and Asia.

Loftus
Engineering Associates was established in 1982
to provide structural engineering services to
industry and public sector clients in Alaska and
Hawaii. Its main offices were located in Fairbanks,
Alaska.

Lake &
Boswell Consulting Electrical Engineers, Inc.
The firm was founded in 1953 by James M. Lake as a
sole proprietorship. In 1967, Mr. Robert B. Boswell
joined the firm which continued as a sole
proprietorship until 1973 at which time Mr. Boswell
was taken in as a partner and the firm's name
changed to Lake & Boswell Consulting Electrical
Engineers, Inc. The firm's offices were moved to
543 Third Avenue, Suite 206, Fairbanks, Alaska in
1961 and remained at this location until early
2000. Lake and Boswell offered a broad range of
electrical design services and over the past 46
years accumulated extensive experience in
electrical systems design in Alaska.
