PDC has performed all aspects of development for a number of energy projects. We establish the basis of design, develop conceptual plans, prepare design documents, and perform construction administration and systems commissioning. Our design teams work with a variety of clients including municipalities, contractors (on design/build projects), and oil and gas companies. Projects include both gas and diesel generation facilities, cogeneration systems, transmission, substations, fuel storage facilities, and corrosion control for fuel storage tanks and underground piping.
PDC’s fuels team designs major fuel systems, product pipelines, and systems to store and dispense liquid fuels. We design fuel handling systems for the marine environment and for rural Alaska communities, as well as hydrant systems to support aviation operations at both military installations and civil airports.
These systems provide diesel fuel for heating systems, vehicle operations, and power generation and have included fuel transfer, storage, distribution, and dispensing. Spill prevention, remediation, and corrosion protection are integral to all of PDC’s designs.
PDC’s experienced engineers cover all aspects and levels of power generation and distribution systems. We design prime power generation installations, power distribution systems to 35 kV, renovation and modernization, and emergency-standby systems. Our power systems are designed for above- and below-ground electrical systems in unfrozen and frozen soils, and similar difficult conditions encountered in polar regions.
