OUR
OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT
At PDC, each project undertaken
by the firm is assigned to a
Principal. That Principal is responsible to our client to
meet schedule and budgetary requirements of each project,
and is charged with the responsibility of seeing that the
client is completely satisfied with the service the firm renders.
Each Principal is an owner and officer of the firm,
completely authorized to act contractually on behalf of the
company.
Jim
Loftus, PE, Vice-President, Chairman of the Board and Principal Structural: Jim has
been practicing structural engineering for more than 20
years. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from
University of California at Santa Clara, and a Master of
Science in Structural Engineering from the University of
Washington. He is registered to practice structural
engineering in Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and
California.
Jim is our Principal Structural
Engineer and leads the firm's
Industrial Engineering Group.
Steve
Theno, PE, President:
Steve has been practicing mechanical engineering for over 20
years. He is a graduate of the University of Washington and
is registered to practice mechanical engineering in
Alaska.
He is PDC's Principal Mechanical Engineer, and leads the Complex Facilities
design group. He is an avid outdoors man; pilot (holding a
float plane operator's licence since his teens), fisherman,
and skier.
Ron
Gebhart, PE, Vice-President and Principal in Charge of
Fairbanks Operations:
Ron has been practicing civil engineering for more than 20
years. He is a graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines
and is registered to practice civil engineering in Alaska
and South Dakota. Ron is the firm's
Principal Civil Engineer, and leads the firm's Transportation Group.
He is active in community affairs, bow hunts and trapshoots.
Jim
Pressley, PE, Vice-President and Principal in Charge of
Anchorage Operations:
Jim has been practicing engineering for more than 30 years.
He is a graduate of the University of Texas - Arlington and
is registered to practice electrical engineering in Alaska,
Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and Guam.
In addition to Jim's
administrative role for the Anchorage office, Jim heads up
the firms Facility's Design Group.
Dennis Bogren, PLS, Vice President and Principal
Survey: Dennis has been a Professional Surveyor in the state of Alaska for more than twenty years and has thirty-two years of surveying experience. He attended Michigan Technological University, Michigan State University, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Dennis is PDC’s Principal Surveyor and leads the firm’s Surveying and GIS group.
Royce Conlon, PE, Vice President and Principal Civil/Environmental:
Since joining PDC in 1990, Royce has become
a key Project Engineer in projects ranging from preparation
of environmental assessments, environmental site audits, locations
studies, design study reports, assembly of construction plans,
specifications, as well as construction administration and
negotiations. Along with solid engineering skills, one of
Royce's key strengths is her ability to work with public
involvement facets of environmentally sensitive project.
Royce is a key member of PDC's Transportation Team. She is
also a member of our Board of Directors.
Ms. Conlon received
her BSCE from the University of Alaska
Fairbanks in 1987, and is registered to practice
Civil Engineering in Alaska.
RETIRED PRINCIPALS
Gary
Rice, PE, Vice President: Gary has
been practicing civil engineering for over 30 years. He is a
graduate of the University of Alaska and is registered to
practice civil engineering in Alaska. Gary is the Principal
Civil Engineer for the Anchorage Office.Gary leads the firm's
practice in Utilities engineering, as well as Fuels.
Rob
Boswell, PE, Vice President and Principal Electrical
Engineer: Rob has
been practicing electrical engineering for over 30 years. He
graduated from the University of Washington and is
registered to practice electrical engineering in Alaska.
