Civil Engineer
I was introduced to architecture and engineering through my high school’s drafting curriculum and loved it. At first I thought I wanted to be an architect, but quickly realized that I wanted to go beyond the building envelope…and “architect” was hard to spell. Engineering was the way to go for me, specifically civil engineering because you can do so much with it.
I believe project success is the sum of leadership plus all the work everyone else does. So I strive to show my team that what they do matters. I make it a point to acknowledge good work and provide positive reinforcement. Engineering has more impact on the world than any other profession. As an engineer, I have an obligation to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
I am a paper crafting wizard, which isn’t a secret but it allows me to be one of the few people that can make my family and friends happy with a handmade gift, which makes me happy.
