PDC Engineers has the pleasure of announcing several promotions within the employee-owned company for the close of 2018.
Utilities Market Sector lead, Karen Brady, was promoted to the position of Principal Engineer. Among the attributes listed in her recommendation for the new position were Karen’s willingness to step into leadership positions within the company, her dedication to client care, revenue management, and work towards PDC’s expansion of services. Karen has been praised by clients for her performance in her project work as well as by coworkers for her administrative abilities. She has been with PDC for 17 years.
Angela Smith, lead engineer of PDC’s Aviation group (within the firm’s Transportation Market Sector), has been promoted to the position of Senior Associate. Angela has 17 years of industry experience and has been with PDC for two of those years. Always gaining high praise from clients, she has worked hard to expand PDC’s client base in Southcentral Alaska and has been pivotal in strengthening the firm’s Aviation group to its strongest level since the organization of the company. Angela was instrumental in the development of PDC’s reorganization into its market sectors structure and continues to lend her experience in honing the company’s operations.
PDC Business Development Director and Planner Pat Cotter was promoted to the position of Senior Associate. Pat has been with PDC Engineers for nine years and has served as an associate for the past six years. He leads the firm’s planning group in its Land Development Services Market Sector and has filled the role of Business Development Director for the past two years. Separate from his formal work, Pat is also heavily involved with several industry organizations and often presents on behalf of PDC or other professional groups.
As a key leader in PDC’s Highway group within its Transportation Market Sector, Anne Nelson has been promoted to the position of Associate. Anne has worked with PDC for 12 years as a civil engineer and has earned her PE while at the firm. She has a reputation for being an excellent lead engineer and always takes time to mentor others. Her high ethical standards and always looking out for the best interest of PDC’s clients and the public have made her an easy choice for promotion.
Kevin Puustinen, a senior civil engineer in PDC’s Utilities Market Sector, has been promoted to the position of Associate. Kevin has had his professional engineering license since 2010 and has performed and managed civil engineering design and construction assignments throughout Southeast Alaska. Kevin’s reputation as a highly technical engineer has earned him an excellent reputation. He also serves as a member of PDC’s Operations committee, where he provides valuable input.
Widely respected in the industry for his knowledge and his positive relationships with clients, Randy Williams has been promoted to the position of Associate. Randy joined PDC in 2015 as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Commissioning Agent and has been the lead mechanical engineer on several projects and the project manager for other multi-discipline work. He maintains very positive industry and client relationships and often receives positive feedback about his professional yet friendly demeanor.
