PDC provided design, construction admin, and commissioning for several major inter-related renovations within the main ANMC hospital facility. The project included the design and integration of heating, ventilation, plumbing, and medical gas systems into the existing hospital infrastructure This sub-project transformed existing administrative space within the hospital into a multi-function Step Down unit. The unit is capable of handling the care needs of pre- and post-operative patients, post-anesthesia care, and critical care.
Commissioning services for all phases included pre-functional checks and functional testing of heating, ventilation, plumbing, and medical gas systems affected by each phase of the renovations. Multiple construction site visits were necessary to accommodate the rapid pace of construction, and the constantly shifting boundary of occupancy and accessibility. PDC successfully navigated these complications and provided clear, timely documentation of commissioning issues needing further attention.
