PDC worked closely with ADOT&PF, airport management staff, the FAI East Side Working Group, airline representatives, and local pilots to prepare a development plan to meet the needs of a very diverse users group over the next 20 years. As part of the public outreach, PDC developed and analyzed a survey for Fairbanks-area pilots. This survey was sent to over 1,000 registered aircraft owners which generated 184 responses. The planning team is using these responses to develop new general aviation facilities that reflect their users’ needs and priorities while integrating smoothly with the airport’s commercial passenger and cargo service functions.
